1. Account Registration and Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Yaply.
• You must provide accurate information during registration, including a valid email address.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account security.
• You must verify your email address to access full functionality.
• New accounts may be placed on a waitlist and require an invite code for activation.
• Each user is limited to one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Post illegal content, including but not limited to: child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism, or instructions for illegal activities
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post spam, scams, or phishing attempts
• Share malware, viruses, or malicious links
• Impersonate other users or public figures
• Post doxxing content (private information of others without consent)
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without authorization
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or rate limits
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate voting or evade bans
• Sell, trade, or transfer invite codes outside the platform's intended email-based system

3. Content Ownership and License

• Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you post on Yaply. However, by posting content, you grant Yaply a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
• Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem harmful to the community.
• Post Editing: Posts can be edited within 60 seconds of creation. After this window, posts cannot be modified.
• Message Editing: Comments/messages can be edited at any time, but edit history is preserved (marked with "edited" timestamp).
• Soft Deletes: Deleted messages are marked as "[deleted]" but remain in the system for context preservation.

4. Invite System

• Invite codes are tied to specific email addresses and cannot be transferred.
• Users must use the exact email address the invite was sent to when registering.
• Invite codes expire after 7 days if unused.
• Active users receive invite credits periodically (daily at midnight UTC).
• Selling, trading, or publicly sharing invite codes is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to revoke invites or suspend invite privileges for abuse.

5. Voting and Gamification

• Vote manipulation (using multiple accounts, bots, or coordinated voting) is prohibited.
• Points are awarded for legitimate platform activity (creating posts, commenting, receiving upvotes).
• Points may be deducted for downvotes received.
• Badge achievements are awarded based on verified criteria.
• We reserve the right to adjust points or remove badges obtained through fraudulent means.

6. Account Status and Termination

• Waitlisted: New accounts may start as waitlisted until activated via invite code.
• Active: Full access to all platform features.
• Banned: Violation of Terms results in permanent loss of access.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms without prior notice.
• You may delete your account by contacting support. Some data may be retained as required by law.

7. Privacy

Your use of Yaply is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Intellectual Property

• The Yaply name, logo, and platform design are the property of Yaply and may not be used without permission.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Yaply platform without authorization.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• Yaply is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• We are not responsible for user-generated content. Views expressed by users are their own and do not represent Yaply.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yaply shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yaply, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of Yaply after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes will be announced via platform notifications.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Yaply is headquartered.
